Singer Annie Lennox has taken to social media to document her experience of receiving the Moderna Covid-19 vaccination in her car at the Dodger Stadium. The Scottish star, who is perhaps best known as the co-founder of Eurythmics, uploaded the inspirational video to Instagram, sharing the process with her followers.

Captioning the piece with a heartfelt message, Annie wrote: ‘Enormous gratitude to everyone who’s made it possible to deliver the Moderna Covid 19 vaccine...Today at Dodgers Stadium! Thank you!! Muchas Gracias!!!’

The 66-year-old singer can be seen patiently waiting in her car to receive the Covid-19 Moderna vaccine, saying it is “all very exciting” and declaring, “I’m smiling behind this mask”.

“The lady is just over there, she’s bringing it over right now,” Annie continues, before being told by the woman giving the jab that she needs her sleeve to be pulled up “higher”. Deciding to simply remove her red cardigan to make things a little easier, Annie’s whole arm is then free to receive the vaccination in the correct place.

The entire video may only be a minute long, but the impact of such a huge star like Annie documenting this experience will no doubt be great as fans could take inspiration from her example.

Which other famous figures have received the Covid-19 vaccine?

Annie Lennox may have recorded the experience of receiving the Covid-19 vaccine, but many other famous figures have also spoken out about receiving theirs. Dame Judi Dench, Sir Ian McKellen, Sir Tom Jones, and the Queen and Prince Philip have all had Covid-19 vaccinations.

The Duke of Cambridge recently made a sweet admission about his grandparents during a video call paying tribute to all those involved in “Team Vaccine”, explaining: "My grandparents have had the vaccine and I'm really proud of them for that.”

The news that the Queen and Prince Philip have received the Covid-19 vaccination may serve as inspiration for many people to do the same when the time comes.
