Camilla was introduced as Duchess of Cornwall after marrying heir apparent Prince Charles back in 2005. The Duchess was previously married to British Army officer Andrew Parker Bowles, with whom she shares children Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes. She and Prince Charles are said to have met in the early seventies, before either of them married, but came back together in marriage in the new century. Since the royal couple tied the knot, Camilla has been stepmum to Prince Charles' two sons Prince William and Prince Harry, who he shares with late ex-wife Princess Diana. She is also step-grandmother to the heir apparent's four grandchildren, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and Master Archie. Duchess Camilla currently resides in official royal residence Clarence House with the Prince of Wales, near Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace in London. She has been seen supporting the Queen in numerous royal engagements and on various royal tours, many of them alongside her husband. The Duchess is patron to numerous charities and has shown her support towards many important causes, including, literacy, animal welfare, poverty, domestic abuse and homelessness. Her Royal Highness has even been seen reading to children to support literacy and encourage the important hobby in young people.
