Kate Middleton's adorable gesture for Prince George's birthday revealed
Prince George's birthday is fast approaching and his mother's adorable tradition for her children's birthdays has been revealed

Prince George's birthday will take place on Friday July 22, 2022, when the young Prince will turn 9 years old. The Duchess of Cambridge's adorable traditions for this special occasion have been revealed.
- The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's eldest son will be turning 9 on July 22.
- Prince George's birthday is a huge cause for celebration in the Cambridge household, and Duchess Catherine has a unique way of celebrating this event.
- In other royal news, Prince William’s fans accuse Prince Harry of copy and pasting brother’s speech.
Some might expect that when royals celebrate their birthday they can expect lavish gifts, luxurious celebrations, and expensive culinary delights. But for Prince George, his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have taken a far more down-to-earth approach to celebrating the future King's birthday.
It has been revealed that rather than ordering a luxurious cake, the Duchess of Cambridge prefers to make her children a homemade birthday cake and enjoys staying up late at night so that they are surprised in the morning.
The sweet reason Kate Middleton stays up late ahead of her children's birthday was revealed in 2019. Catherine told Mary Berry during the chef's festive show, A Berry Royal Christmas, "I love making the cake." The Duchess explained, "It's become a bit of a tradition that I stay up 'til midnight with ridiculous amounts of cake mix and icing and I make far too much. But I love it."
Cooking is one of Kate Middleton's hobbies that she has passed on to her children who made their mother a cake in return for Mother's Day.
In March 2021, Prince William and Kate shared an image of the Victoria Sponge cake that had been decorated by their children with pipe cleaners shaped into hearts, hundreds and thousands, and smarties. It is clear that in the Cambridge household, cake is rather important and homemade baked goods are a sweet tradition that the clan prefers over high-end luxury items.
