We wouldn’t say no to a royal rosé...
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in prime position to create their own wine brand says a neighbour of the royal couple and Oprah Winfrey.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped back as senior members of the royal family and became ‘financially independent’ in January 2020. The royal couple have since launched their own foundation Archwell and have landed multi-million dollar deals with Spotify and Netflix. However, some of the neighbours of Meghan and Harry predict that the royal couple might just have another venture in mind.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, a neighbour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s revealed that the royal couple might be the next celebrities to release their own brand of wine. Other celebrities such as Brad and Angelina, Cameron Diaz and Sarah Jessica Parker have all made use of the budding Californian wine industry to create their own labels.
Local resident Penny Bianchi, who is a neighbour to Oprah Winfrey and the royal couple, told the Daily Mail that wine is a popular business in Montecito, Santa Barabara. “Investing in wine is pretty common in Montecito. I've got a bunch of friends who have wineries, I even know a couple of people who have vineyards on their own properties. It seems to be a very popular thing to do around here so I wouldn't be surprised if Harry and Meghan did the same,” said Penny
The neighbour continued to say, “'Montecito has so many great things to speak of and the wine industry is one of them. It would be really interesting and cool if they started a wine label of their own.”
The Daily Mail reported that the Award-winning Santa Barbara winemaker Greg Martellotto, who runs Martellotto Winery in Buellton, thinks that it would be great for the wine industry in California if Prince Harry and Meghan decided to curate their own wine.

The winemaker said, “I think it would be fantastic if Harry and Meghan get involved with our industry. It would be confirmation of what wine insiders already know. They are global people with name recognition around the world who could go anywhere but they came to Santa Barbara and I think that in and of itself says a lot.”
The winemaker continued to say, “It's exciting and for me as a producer, when we get people from other regions coming in it reinforces what we know – there's an exciting future for wine in Santa Barbara.”
He said, “Harry and Meghan are following a long line of British expats who moved to Santa Barbara, including John Cleese and (Depeche Mode musician) Martin Gore. It's the latest chapter of the British Invasion to California.”
