This is how much Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry's Netflix deal is worth

Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry have signed a lucrative Netflix deal, but how much are they being paid?

How much is Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry's Netflix deal worth?

According to PR expert Jonathan Shalit, the Sussexes could earn tens of millions of pounds.

He said: “Never before has a Hollywood studio got hold of British royal family - this is historic.

“Meghan and Harry will hire shadow producers to do the work but their names alone attached to Netflix are gold dust.”

He says that their deal could be worth as much as £74.5 million, and added that Meghan and Harry's pay could rise further after bonuses to over £175 million.

Speaking of their new venture, the Sussexes said in a statement to the New York Times: “Our focus will be on creating content that informs but also gives hope.

“As new parents, making inspirational family programming is also important to us.”

They added that Netflix's 'unprecedented reach will help us share impactful content that unlocks action.'

Ted Sarandos, Netflix's chief content officer and co-chief exec, added: "We're incredibly proud they have chosen Netflix as their creative home and are excited about telling stories with them that can help build resilience and increase understanding for audiences everywhere."

Meghan and Harry officially stepped down as senior members of the Royal Family in spring.

Meghan's first post-royal gig was narrating the Disney Plus docuseries Elephants, which came out in April.

Her fee went entirely to the Elephants Without Borders charity - an organisation dedicated to conserving wildlife and helps protect the animals from poaching.

We can't wait to see what the Sussexes do next!
