Emerald Fennell’s film Promising Young Woman has been widely celebrated at various awards ceremonies and won big at the BAFTAS. The film has also received five Oscar nominations, including Best Actress for lead star Carey Mulligan, Best Original Screenplay, and the big one—Best Motion Picture of the Year.

Where can I watch Promising Young Woman?

From 16th April, Promising Young Woman has been available to stream as a Sky Original on Sky Cinema and Sky's streaming service NOW. Sky announced, “With cinemas currently closed in the UK, this exciting partnership will grant access to all in the UK to watch the top box office hit.” 

The film will also be available for purchase on Amazon Prime and is currently available to preorder from £9.99.

What’s the plot of Promising Young Woman?

The film follows Cassie (Carey Mulligan) a former medical school student who once had a promising future but dropped out of university following an unspecified event. We now see Cassie luring would-be rapists into assaulting her as she plays the perfect femme fatale searching for vengeance. 

Variety said of the film, “Carey Mulligan is on a mission of vengeance in Emerald Fennell’s arresting, blackly comedic quasi-thriller for the MeToo age.”

Is there a trailer?

Yes, there is a trailer that has more than six million views and has been very highly rated by fans. The trailer and the film itself have already been lauded by fans in the US who have seen it.
