Foodle is the new Wordle spin-off that fans are currently obsessed with, but does it really compare to the challenge of Wordle?

Some of us know all of the Wordle tips, and Wordle hacks but are still keen to improve our Wordle skills by playing the game more frequently. Sadly as there is only one new Wordle challenge every day, there are many players facing somewhat of a dilemma.

Fortunately, there are Wordle alternatives to play when you've completed the daily challenge, and a recent spin-off is a new favorite among fans.

Foodle is the addition to the Wordle family from developer Daniel Anyanwoke, which challenges fans to think of five-letter words that are related to food. While this might seem like an easy challenge, this game is popular with fans because of its challenging nature and a wide variety of words that crop up from different cultures.

For example, the answer to Foodle on March 28, 2022, was 'latke.' A latke is a popular potato fritter that is eaten in Jewish cuisine. While many people in the Jewish community may be familiar with this type of snack, this is the exact type of niche challenge that the game poses.

The game forces players to think outside of the box and about a variety of cultures as they try to complete the daily challenge. Similarly, the original Worlde also encourages players to be creative, and even when they throw curveballs into the mix (like epoxy!) players keep coming back to the game for more.

If this food-themed game doesn't really take your fancy, don't worry, there are a number of other fantastic spin-offs to sink your teeth into.

Heardle is a new Wordle-inspired game that asks fans to guess the name of the song that is playing. The catch is that players are only able to listen to a small snapshot of the song before making their guess. With every second added the gamers lose a point and if they can't guess the song after listening to a certain amount of the song, they will fail the game.

This version is great for Wordle players who want to put their music knowledge to the test. For players who are after something even trickier, there is Quordle. Quordle is like Wordle, but with a twist. Players must simultaneously solve four-word challenges instead of one word, which means this game is certainly not for the faint of heart and is truly only for those who are happy to spend a long time on this game.
