This is the reason that Kate Middleton and Prince William could be spending more time in Scotland
The royal couple spent time in the country this week
Kate Middleton and Prince William visited Scotland last month during their mini Royal Tour, but they may be spending even more time there in the future.
- Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are set to spend more time at Balmoral, according to reporting in the Sunday Times.
- Politicians are becoming worried about Scotland's push for a second referendum and believe the presence of Kate and William could build stronger ties with the UK.
- In other royal news, Kate Middleton makes a poignant statement about ‘breaking the cycle’ of childhood trauma.
Plans have been made with Buckingham Palace, for the royal couple to spend more time in Scotland—as politicians are worried about Scotland breaking away from the UK, according to the Sunday Times.
Kate and William have strong ties to Scotland, with both of them attending St Andrews University, where they met. While the couple also spends a considerable amount of time at Balmoral Castle.

During his Royal Tour of Scotland, Prince William said about his ties to the country, "Scotland is incredibly important to me and will always have a special place in my heart. I've been coming to Scotland since I was a small boy."
The Duke also said, "Scotland is the source of some of my happiest memories. But also, my saddest," explaining he received the news of his mother's death, while at Balmoral.

He added, "And yet alongside this painful memory is one of great joy. Because it was here in Scotland–20 years ago this year–that I first met Catherine. Needless to say, the town where you meet your future wife holds a very special place in your heart."
While William also went on to say that Scotland has fond memories for the whole family, "George, Charlotte, and Louis already know how dear Scotland is to both of us, and they are starting to build their own happy memories here too. We have no doubt they will grow up sharing our love and connection to Scotland from the Highlands to the Central Belt, from the Islands to the Borders."

The couple posted a fantastic Instagram video on Friday of their Scotland tour—which recapped their tennis court visit with LTA and that laugh-out-loud moment with a sweet baby in Fife.
While one sweet moment shows a little boy asking if Kate Middleton is a prince, which he then reframes and asks 'is Kate Middleton a Princess?', with the Duchess of Cambridge nodding and saying, "Yes!"
The Duchess of Cambridge is officially a Princess, but she still goes by the Duchess of Cambridge. However, Kate Middleton's title is set to change—as will Prince William's title—when Prince Charles becomes King. Duchess Catherine will become the Princess of Wales when Prince Charles becomes King, a title which was held by the late Princess Diana. Prince William will become the Prince of Wales, subject to his father's discretion.
