Is Cyber Monday worth it? Will you get better deals by waiting until Cyber Monday or should you shop right now? With the final stage of the sales weekend here in just a few hours, it's the question everyone's asking.

Cyber Monday takes place on November 27th 2023, but there are many bargains you can - and should - snap up before it officially lands tomorrow, according to our expert shopping team. Not least, the rare Dyson Airwrap deals we've been seeing, the great Black Friday fitness deals, and the unmissable Black Friday beauty deals

Some items are worth buying as soon as possible, while the deals are still live. For others, there's an argument for waiting. Below, our shopping experts have listed their must-buy-now items because they are likely to be out of stock or unlikely to be reduced further by Monday. If you're more interested in getting good savings and less fussy about the brand you buy, Cyber Monday still offers substantial savings. Sometimes, they are even greater than those on Black Friday.

Don't wait to buy these deals

Is Cyber Monday worth it?

Absolutely. If you haven't found what you're looking for so far during the sales weekend, all is not lost. In the past, Cyber Monday has offered up some equally good news on new products or even better deals than Black Friday, given that the two shopping days are now pretty much on par.

It's also been found that shoppers tend to spend more in Cyber Monday sales as well, with research from Adobe's yearly shopping insights report finding that retailers reported a landmark $10.8 billion in overall revenue on Cyber Monday versus Black Friday's $9.0 billion last year.

Not only does that mean retailers will probably save some of their better deals for the day they know shoppers are liable to spend more money, but it also means you have more time to mull your Cyber Weekend purchases over. So, if you're wondering what to know before buying ghds, for example, you've got the rest of the weekend to consider your purchase before dropping hundreds of pounds on a whim - and you can rest assured there will still be a deal to shop on Monday. Indeed, lots of retailers and stockists have confirmed that their deals will be live until the end of Cyber Monday, meaning we can be sure we will see some great discounts on Monday 27th.

Which retailers are not doing Cyber Monday?

For the most part, retailers and stockists are taking part in Cyber Monday if they took part in Black Friday. But there are a couple of exceptions: in the UK, Dyson has confirmed that there will not be any deals on Cyber Monday, with the site's countdown now telling us the Black Friday deals will end as early as midnight tonight. We're guessing this means that stock has been flying off the (virtual) shelves due to the popularity of Dyson Airwrap Black Friday deals, so if you've spotted a deal you like, now's the time to shop.

Another retailer who isn't taking part in Cyber Monday is L'Occitane, so if you've got an eye on L'Occitane Black Friday deals, there's no better time to save than now.

Are the Cyber Monday deals as good as Black Friday's?

If past years are anything to go by, Cyber Monday deals certainly are as good as Black Friday. In fact, the deals tend to be very similar, with many of the same brands – think Dyson, ghd and Le Creuset (the Le Creuset Black Friday sale is phenomenal, in my opinion) – offering similar discounts on both days.

However, while the brands may be the same, the products themselves tend to vary between the two days, so if there's a specific model/style you have your heart set on getting while it's cheap, we'd advise adding it to your basket as soon as possible.

In our experience, though, it's always a good idea to set aside a little bit of your Cyber Weekend budget for Monday's sale.

Is it worth waiting until Cyber Monday to shop?

Our Shopping Editor, Millie Fender, gives the following advice: "Cyber Monday deals present a last chance to get a great saving for your Christmas shopping, or simply treating yourself to something that’s been on your wish list for months. As a Shopping Editor, I’ve covered countless Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales, and while there’s no guarantee that you’ll get a better deal on either day, the advice I’d give to any shopper is to not wait when it comes to picking up a deal that looks great."

She continues: "You’ll kick yourself if it sells out, and it often does if the deal is really good. However, Cyber Monday has now been extended into Cyber Week, meaning that many companies prolong their deals right until the end of November to ensure that everyone is able to make the most of their seasonal offers."

What are the top Cyber Monday deals to look out for?

There's so much to look forward to in this year's Cyber Monday sale, with everything from luxury beauty to homeware hugely reduced. Traditionally, tech is the top buy of choice on Cyber Monday. So while bestselling products like the best hair dryers might have sold out over the shopping weekend, there's every chance more deals could land on Monday.

If there's a product you've been eyeing up for a while, deciding between one model or another, such as the pros and cons of the Shark Flexstyle vs Dyson Airwrap, and have been put off by a hefty price tag, both Black Friday and Cyber Monday present ideal opportunities to nab a huge saving.

However, Kalpana Fitzpatrick, editor at themoneyedit.com, advises that whether you're shopping on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, you should be careful not to "caught up in the hype."

She says: "Before you buy anything, take a moment to stop and think about what you’re buying is in fact a ‘deal’. Take a look at what the item you’re buying costs on other sites. You can also check the historical price using pricerunner, pricespy or camelcamelcamel for Amazon products to see how genuine a deal actually is."

"If you don’t need and you can’t afford, save your money instead."

FAQs

What is Cyber Monday?

Falling on the Monday immediately after Black Friday, Cyber Monday used to be a separate shopping event just for online shoppers. It also used to mainly focus on tech deals, like televisions and laptops. But as many of us now exclusively shop online on Black Friday, Cyber Monday has morphed into more of an extension of the so-called 'Cyber Weekend', with deals across a range of products often lasting for days even after Cyber Monday itself.

That doesn't mean the deals are the same, though. Many retailers add more - and in some cases, better - deals on Cyber Monday. Think Reiss Black Friday deals, Jo Malone Black Fridayghd Black Friday and Mulberry Black Friday sales; to name just a few retailers known for extending the deals on offer.

When is Cyber Monday?

Cyber Monday is on Monday 27th November, so it's almost here. In just a few hours, you can expect more deals and savings across the internet, on everything from skincare products to cookware, trainers, tech, and so much more.
