The surprising beauty ingredient Jane Fonda swears by
Actress Jane Fonda is a fan of a growing beauty trend
Jane Fonda is now advising us on more than just '80s-inspired exercises. The Grace & Frankie actress has also added CBD and hemp advocate to her resume.
CBD products have been gaining recognition for their natural muscle-relaxing properties and anti-aging components. In fact, the 83-year-old actress has even incorporated them into her personal self-care routine.
"I have been using a CBD vape pen for some time to help me sleep. My doctor advised me to get rid of sleeping pills so I use my little pen that controls the dosage and it works great," she told Byrdie.
Along with promoting a sense of calm, CBD (short for cannabidiol) has also been found to hold anti-aging properties, especially with CBD beauty products. Since it contains antioxidants, incorporating a CBD oil or lotion into your beauty routine can help lessen inflammation, treating free radical damage, and even dry skin.

At first, the actress was unsure about the effectiveness of hemp, but after CBD brand Uncle Bud's sent her beauty products to test out, she became a fan.
"I was a bit skeptical at first, but then I used their masks and body lotion, and their pain relief gel and roll-on, and I really liked them because they work," she explained to the outlet.

Uncle Bud's designs all-natural products to help moisturize skin and soothe aching muscles.
Uncle Bud’s CBD Roll-On for Recovery, $18.99
Featuring 120mg of CBD, this roll-on aims to quickly absorb into your skin to help with pain relief and even features a sweet coconut scent.
Before becoming a brand ambassador for Uncle Bud's, Jane had her friends and family test out the products to make sure they truly worked. When they had similar results, she made the decision to represent the brand.
With misconceptions about CBD and hemp still swirling around, Jane has also made it her mission to learn more about the components and their benefits.
"A big misconception is the thought that all CBD and hemp refer to the psychoactive kind that gets you high. But the hemp and cannabis market now is super sophisticated and can separate out the various properties of hemp depending on what you’re looking for," she explained. "Uncle Bud’s products do not have THC and so they aren’t psychoactive but you still reap all the amazing benefits of the plant which is rich in omegas and supplements."
Whether you're looking to test out this latest beauty ingredient or want an all-natural solution to help smooth skin, reduce inflammation, and add a natural glow to your skin, Jane has given this method her stamp of approval.
