While we imagine the Great British Bake Off tent makes home to a plethora of delicious scents, as a beauty team we might even go as far as to say we're more intrigued to know Alison Hammond's go-to spritz of choice.

Most people will have a different definition of the best perfumes for women; however, one thing's for certain, and that's the fact that the scent has to be distinct and signature to you. While some might seek out fruity perfumes, others might prioritise long-lasting perfumes that will take you from noon to night.

As for Alison Hammond's scent of choice, it's reminiscent of stepping into a bakery, boasting moreish aromas of almond croissants and warm vanilla custard – undoubtedly making it one of the best gourmand perfumes on the market.

Back in 2023, a viewer of This Morning took to X (formerly Twitter) to quiz the presenter on her signature scent after she had received a handful of compliments on the show: "Everyone on This Morning was saying how gorgeous [you] smell. May I ask what perfume [you] wear?"

Her answer required just three words: "Dior Poison Hypnotica," Alison revealed. We can assume Hammond was referring to DIOR's Hypnotic Poison, an intoxicating vanilla musk scent.

As for what the fragrance smells like, this warm, oriental vanilla aroma is a true gourmand at heart, with an almost-edible sweet, nutty, and powdery blend that has a magnetic edge to it. In fact, it has been likened to almond croissants, warm vanilla custard, amaretto, and even marzipan – which couldn't be more fitting for the Great British Bake Off tent.

Many dub this seductive scent especially great for evening wear and the cooler weather of the autumn and winter months, thanks to its smooth, delectable, deep gourmand blend with a warm and sweet edge.
