The early 2000s gave us some memorable perfumes, many of which still have a loyal following today. Among them is Calvin Klein Euphoria, a heady blend of florals and warming woods that launched in 2005 and remains a firm favourite of Susanna Reid, particularly during the colder months.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, who recently graced the cover of woman&home's centenary issue, shared some of her beauty favourites with us, including her signature scents for summer and winter.

While she favours Diptyque's Ilio during the warmer months, her love of Euphoria is rooted in nostalgia, with the fragrance bringing back fond memories of her childhood.

“Euphoria feels old-fashioned and glamorous and reminds me of when my mum and dad used to go out to dinner parties when I was little,” Susanna tells woman&home. “They would smell so special with their perfume and aftershave freshly applied.”

If you've ever spritzed Euphoria before, you'll know it's not a perfume that fades quietly into the background. Dark, warm and a little heady, it's a far cry from the barely-there skin scents that have become so popular of late.

And with autumn firmly upon us, we can see why it's Susanna's mood-boosting perfume of choice for the colder months. What's more, at £70 for 50mls of eau de parfum strength, this makes for a pleasingly affordable pick.

The Calvin Klein classic opens with juicy pomegranate and persimmon, before revealing a floral heart of black orchid and lotus blossom. Creamy accords and mahogany wood bring warmth and depth to the base, balancing the fruitier notes and giving the scent its distinctive richness.

While the blend has remained unchanged since its launch in 2005, Euphoria's sculptural bottle was given a refresh in 2023. The updated design places greater emphasis on its deep amethyst hue, while retaining the curved silhouette of the original. The Euphoria collection has also since expanded to include three new Elixirs (Magnetic, Bold and Solar), each offering a different interpretation of vanilla.

For summer, Susanna favours something lighter. Her warm-weather perfume of choice is Diptyque's Ilio, a Mediterranean-inspired fragrance that reminds her of “being at the day clubs in Ibiza enjoying the sun, the company of my boys and their friends and girlfriends and the sound of uplifting house music.”
