Emma Stoddart
Emma Stoddart is a freelance beauty journalist and self-confessed skincare aficionado with over five years of experience. After graduating from Leeds University in 2011, Emma dabbled in ergonomics research as well as human resources before landing her first internship at ELLE UK. It was here where she fell in love with the world of magazines and reignited her passion for beauty—an area of obsession since her first foray into foundation with Dream Matte Mousse circa 2004.
Since ELLE, Emma has worked for some of the UK’s top women’s titles including Net-A-Porter, Stylist and Grazia. Her experience spans online and print as well as producing editorial shoots with some of the industry’s biggest artists, including Val Garland. Asides from working with them behind the scenes, she’s also had the chance to interview the likes of Patrick Ta, Pat McGrath, and Sam McKnight for all their insider tips and tricks.
A skincare junkie and wellness enthusiast, Emma is all about hard-working, no-nonsense products that really deliver results. She knows from experience just how to tackle an oily T-zone, add volume to fine hair, and specializes a glowing, barely-there makeup look that focuses on radiant skin, a healthy flush, and a natural-looking flutter. Away from her lengthy evening regime, Emma spends her time beading bracelets (a side hustle she set up with her sister), enjoying the great outdoors, and occasionally threading her own eyebrows (a skill she endeavored to master during Lockdown).
