Gorgeous curled hairstyle

Look younger and fresher fast! US hairstylist Frédéric Fekkai gives architect Lois Palguta a short cut with bouncy curls

A haircut is a fast and easy way to look younger and fresher. US hairstylist Frédéric Fekkai loosens architect Lois Palguta's curls

The woman: Lois Palguta, 43, architect

The cut: loose, full curls

Why it works
“Lois was born with these curls, but has been straightening them out since high school,” says Frédéric. “To celebrate her curly texture, I added volume above the cheekbones for extra bounce and kept just enough length to play up her delicate features and oval face. The cut is so up-to-date and wash-and-wear.”

What it takes
Use a volumising mousse around the crown of the head and a lightweight curl cream through the ends to help sculpt beautiful curls and tame frizz. Blow-drying your hair upside down with a diffuser while you scrunch the ends helps to cultivate the natural curl in your hair. Alternatively, let your hair dry naturally for looser-looking curls.
