The caption of the post from Tom revealed, "Today I received an OBE for services to diving, LGBT+ rights and charity 🏳️🌈 I’d be honoured to use this platform to work toward protections for all LGBT+ people around the commonwealth and beyond. (Also was talking all things knitting with HRH Prince of Wales 😂)"
The Olympian wore a stunning black Dior suit for this awards ceremony and wore embellished black brogues and ornate brooches on the lapel of his designer look. Clarence House, the Instagram page for the Prince of Wales, and Camilla Parker Bowles commented with a ball of thread and praising hands emojis, "🧶🙌," which were clearly applauding the diver's gorgeous outfit.
This isn't the first time that Tom has met with members of the Royal Family as the star has also met Her Majesty. The Queen showed her humorous side with a height joke when meeting Tom Daley in 2021 as she joked, "maybe I should try gymnastics," when they discussed the shorter stature of many of the athletes.
