The Queen reveals royal sense of humour in hilarious G7 quip
She's not lost her sense of humour!
The Queen hosted G7 leaders for a royal reception, and proved her sense of humour is still very much intact.
- The Queen joined world leaders at the G7 summit in Cornwall.
- Her Majesty used her wicked sense of humour—one of the secrets to her 72-year marriage—to break the ice between world leaders.
- It follows royal news that Prince Harry took a break from paternity leave to make this special announcement.
The Queen has always used her wit and charm to put people at ease when in her presence.
And never has that been clearer than during Friday's G7 summit, where the Queen hosted a royal evening reception with seven world leaders.
The Queen may still be mourning the death of her late husband, Prince Philip—who passed away last month, but Her Majesty proved she's not lost her sense of humour by sharing a joke with the world leaders.
During a photo-call, the 95-year-old Monarch said, "Are you supposed to be looking as if you’re enjoying yourself?”
To which the UK's Prime Minister replied, "Yes, we have been enjoying ourselves".
The Queen traveled down to Cornwall where world leaders gathered at The Eden Project to discuss world problems—including economic issues, health emergencies and the climate crisis.

Her Majesty was joined by the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge—all of whom traveled together on The Royal Train for the highly-anticipated event.
Earlier on in the day the Queen could be seen sharing a giggle with the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall as she ignored advice and insisted on using a ceremonial sword to cut the cake.
The Queen was presented with a giant cake to mark her official birthday and opted to use a huge sword to cut it, as opposed to a knife.
"There is a knife," suggested one onlooker, to which she curtly replied, "I know there is."
Duchess Catherine looked on with delight as the Queen struggled to cut her cake with the sword. Thankfully Duchess Camilla was on hand to help out.
It's nice to see the Queen in such high spirits after what has no doubt been a difficult week marking what would have been Prince Philip's 100th birthday. Her positive attitude in the face of testing times has recently been addressed in an unearthed Princess Margaret interview. In the 1960s clip, the late royal can be heard showering her older sister with praise. "My sister has an aura," she said. "I'm enormously impressed when she walks into a room. It's a kind of magic."
