Prince Harry is due to release a tell-all memoir, but apparently he may be putting the brakes on what exactly is revealed, according to a royal expert.

There's no doubt that Harry's new memoir will be a cause for concern for the royals, but some royal experts are suggesting that he will "tone down" any new revelations, or, in fact, whether he will publish the book at all.

Royal expert Richard Kay told the latest edition of True Royalty TV's The Royal Beat, "There is still that possibility that the entreaties of the Royal Family have not fallen on deaf ears, and that Harry is having second thoughts about when he publishes this book at all...

"The book was completed, we believe in, about January - at least Harry’s part in it - the interviews. That was really when Harry was still at peak rage, with Britain, with the Royal Family, with his sibling and family.

The second thoughts reportedly come after Prince Harry's recent meetings with his grandmother, the Queen.

He added, "Since then, there has been a measure of a rapprochement. We saw it at the Jubilee, there was a bit of an attempt by Harry to sort of wind it down a bit. Will he want to readjust what he’s written? All these things must be going through his mind.”

Prince Harry hasn't revealed much about the contents of the book and whether it will shed more on why whether Harry and wife Meghan Markle decided to leave the royal family, but after the couple's bombshell interview and the fallout that followed, it's only natural that the royals might be nervous.

When announcing the book, Prince Harry previously said, "I'm writing this not as the prince I was born but as the man, I have become.

"I've worn many hats over the years, both literally and figuratively, and my hope is that in telling my story - the highs and lows, the mistakes, the lessons learned - I can help show that no matter where we come from, we have more in common than we think."

Meanwhile, Harry's wife Meghan Markle recently celebrated her 41st birthday with her family, enjoying some low key celebrations.
