- Fans were quick to praise the couple for being so “inclusive” with their children at events.
- This royal news comes as we reveal the secret trick Kate Middleton uses to always look flawless in paparazzi photos.
Just like many other members of the extended Royal Family, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have long been known for their love of sports and it seems they’ve passed their passion down to their children. From Prince George’s reaction to England losing the Euros last year, to Princess Charlotte cheering on England’s Lionesses ahead of their recent final, it’s clear that the kids are every bit as invested as their parents.
Earlier this year Prince William revealed Princess Charlotte’s sporty skills during an engagement and she has now accompanied her mum and dad to watch the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. Travelling to the West Midlands on August 2nd, Kate Middleton and Prince William were dubbed “generous” by fans for the way they’ve been including their children in engagements like this…

Sharing sweet photos of the Cambridges meeting everyone from gymnasts to Alice Kinsella and Ondine Achampong to the Commonwealth Games’ lively mascot, Perry the Bull, the couple revealed the “highlight” of their trip.
“A real highlight was going behind the scenes with @teamsportsaid and @officialteamengland Futures where the next generation of athletes and support staff are helped to perform at their best, handle pressure and make the most of their experience at major Games,” the caption declared.
But whilst the behind-the-scenes visit was their personal highlight, for fans it was the way they included sport-loving Princess Charlotte that really stood out. Many took to the comments to express their delight at how Kate Middleton and Prince William have been introducing their children to public events.
“‘Incredible parenting - teaching duty, service but above all, how to love others. What a welcome addition to the Royal family is our Queen in waiting ❤️”, one fan said admiringly, suggesting that the Cambridges could be helping to prepare their kids for their future roles.
“I love how Kate and William are slowly starting to introduce the children into public engagements, but noticeably just fun things at the moment, where they can be relaxed, and enjoy themselves 🙌”, someone else reflected, echoing this sentiment.
Another person agreed, praising how the Cambridges have been careful to align their children’s public appearances with their individual passions. They wrote, “LOVE how inclusive they are with their children and each with their own interests! 🙌”.
Whilst a fourth person described the future King and Queen Consort as “generous” with how much they allow fans to glimpse their kids, responding, “It's so nice to see them out as a family just enjoying things together. Kate and William are very generous with how much they share their children with us ❤️❤️❤️”.
The Queen's great-grandchildren appeared regularly over the Platinum Jubilee weekend in June, whilst Prince George also made his Wimbledon debut and watched the Six Nations rugby with his parents earlier this year. Prince William and Duchess Kate's decision for their children to attend more high-profile yet fun events has certainly caught fans' attention and could be a way to gently ease them into public life ahead of their father becoming King.
