Maya Rudolph is willing to reprise her role as spoiled bride Lillian, and we can't help but support the idea. Bridesmaids is about to turn 10, and the SNL funny lady dished about the comedy's best moments, "character research," and more in honor of the occasion.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Maya joked, "I guess it wouldn't be called Bridesmaids—it would be called Old Ladies or something."
No matter the title, we're in full agreement that this project needs to come to fruition. We'd be anxious to see the next chapter of Lil's life—presumably motherhood—how things develop between Annie and Rhodes, if Helen calms down and gets her Rocking Sushi girls' night. There inevitably would have to be a shower of some sort, or someone in the group would get engaged, so there would be plenty of shenanigans to look forward to.

This is not something that has been given the green light—yet—but we'll sit here patiently and cross our fingers until it does. In the meantime, we can't help but feel nostalgic when Maya discusses her favorite moments about making the film: a work week with puppies (all for Lil's over-the-top shower) and the "character research" that involved going to a male strip club in preparation for a scene that ultimately got cut.
"What great character research. 'Character research,' " she joked. "I will never forget it for as long as I live."
