Strictly Emma Weymouth's Stricty family show support after sad news

It's a sad day for Emma Weymouth of Strictly Come Dancing fame.

Our thoughts are with Strictly Come Dancing Star after the news that her father-in-law, Alexander Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath, or also known as Lord Bath, passed away today, aged 87. He was admitted to hospital on March 28.

Emma confirmed the news on social media today, writing, 'It is with the deepest sadness that I share the news that my father in law, Lord Bath, has died at the age of 87.

'Alexander Thynn, 7th Marquess of Bath, passed away on Saturday.

'He was admitted to the Royal United Hospital in Bath on March 28 where it was confirmed he had the coronavirus.'

Alexander, Lord Bath, owner of Longleat Safari Park died over the weekend, just days after testing positive for coronavirus. The Strictly star, 34, has been married to his son, Viscount Weymouth, since June 2013.

Emma thanked NHS staff for looking after him, writing, 'We would like to express our great appreciation for the dedicated team of nurses, doctors and other staff who cared so professionally and compassionately for Alexander in these extremely difficult times for everyone.'

Fellow Strictly Come Dancing stars were quick to show their support for Emma and the family, writing messages of condolences. Strictly Come Dancing dancer Karen Hauer wrote, 'Sending you and your family our deepest condolences.'

While another fellow Strictly star, Pixie Lott, wrote, 'I’m so so sorry Emma, Ceawlin and your beautiful family. Sending my love to you all xx'

Fans were also quick to comment with their support. One wrote, 'Sending lots of love to you and your family at this sad time Emma xxx'

'Oh goodness sending so much love and strength to you all 💗' wrote another.

'Holding you, Ceawlin, your boys and the rest of your family in the light, Emma 💫' said a third.
