Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan are making a TV comeback for a very exciting reason.

The iconic TV presenting couple who used to front ITV’s This Morning together will be hosting new Channel 4 TV show Richard & Judy: Keep Reading and Carry On.

Like Jamie Oliver’s Keep Cooking and Carry On and Kirstie Allsopp’s Keep Crafting and Carry On, which have been launched to entertain viewers during coronavirus-fuelled self-isolation and keep the nation active and developing their skills and hobbies while stuck at home, the iconic duo’s new show will be for the same purpose.

The show will be aired from the couple’s own home where the pair will be joined virtually by book authors and celebrity guests.

The longtime couple, who run their famous Richard and Judy Book Club, will discuss new releases with their stream of guests as well as sharing their favourite recent reads with viewers to keep them entertained while they’re at home.

“It is no secret that Judy and I are avid readers,” said an excited Richard, “and we are excited to return to Channel 4 to share what we love with viewers”.

“Books can transport you to incredible places from the comfort of your sofa,” added Judy, “and so there is no better time to share our top picks for lockdown reads and hear from viewers, celebrities and authors about the books that have helped them whilst staying at home”.

Richard & Judy: Keep Reading and Carry On will hit screens on Monday 4th May at 5.30pm on Channel 4.
