Married at First Sight Australia season 8 is arguably one of the most hotly anticipated series premieres in the TV calendar this fall. Season 6 of the marriage experiment-themed show became one of the undisputed obsessions of 2020 so you had better get ready to lose your evenings over the next month.

Although many fans dedicated to the show were expecting Married at First Sight season 7 to be hitting their screens, it transpires that Channel 4 bosses have decided to skip straight to the next one. This is as season 8 has wrapped in Australia and the channel want to get up to speed with the show as it's aired in its native country.

The show's return has been a long time coming for UK viewers, who are considerably behind the show's home country, however, some have expressed outrage that they're going to miss out on a whole chapter of the experiment.

This means that potentially, some especially ardent fans might have already enjoyed the latest season by catching up online with the use of a VPN.

When does Married at First Sight Australia season 8 start on E4?

Married at First Sight Australia season 8 will start in the UK on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 7.30pm on E4.

The show will then air every day on TV as well as online via All 4, where all the episodes will be available to stream. Ideal to marathon on a rainy weekend!

Season 8 aired in Australia back in February 2021 and concluded in April with a two-part finale—so you need to be careful about any potential spoilers!

The opening episode of the hit series will see 18 new singles come together for a Stag and Hen night, before heading off to strut down the aisle in the hope of finding true love.

Despite the show's name, the couples aren't actually legally married initially, it's actually a commitment ceremony. At the end of the series, they have the option to consider making things legally binding.

This adjustment to the original format proved such a hit that the UK version of the show also made the move.

E4 said, "Following the Australian format, rather than legal marriages, the couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake."

Are any Married at First Sight Australia Season 6 couples still together?

Married at First Sight Australia season 6 provided more ups and downs than you could shake a stick at. There was love, lust, partner swapping, and even an affair.

Despite the emotional rollercoaster on the show, two couples managed to make it and are still going strong!

Unsurprisingly, Cam and Jules are still super loved up. Married At First Sight's Cam and Jules revealed they 'didn't find each other attractive' initially, but that changed pretty quickly.

The couple are crazy about each other and since the show ended they got legally married and had welcomed a new family member too.

Their little boy, Oliver Chase, was born in September 2020 and it looks like that's only the beginning. The loved-up couple spoke to Who and when asked if they were open to any more children Jules said, "Absolutely—give us 18 months!"

They're not the only pair going strong as Michael and Martha, the unexpected success story, are still together too.

Make up artist Martha and PE teacher Michael were an unexpected success story and they're busy sharing their lives together and with the world as social media influencers.

Although their relationship is going strong, they haven't made things legally binding.
