Carol Vorderman has one of the most enviable figures in the world of showbiz, and at the age of 58, it’s safe to say she looks better than ever.

But for Carol, her body philosophy isn’t about achieving a certain weight, or looking a certain way – it’s all about how she feels, and how comfortable she is in her body.

During an interview with Lorraine, the former Countdown host refreshingly confessed, “I don’t actually know how much I weigh, I don’t care.

“I haven’t weighed myself since 1999. I don’t actually know how much I weigh and I don’t care because I go on my dress size. Thank god for lycra!

"I’m probably about a size 8 to 9 at the moment. I’ve always had a small waist, I think I’m about 25 inches around my waist. If I put on a bit of weight, I know I have, and I go up to a size 11.”

"A larger size 10, that’s kind of my boundary for where I’m happy.”

So just how does Carol achieve her amazing, and brilliantly healthy body?

The mum-of-two told Lorraine that her workout regime is actually pretty simple, made up of long hikes and a religious squat routine.

She explained, “Every day is a bonus, if you’re fit and healthy and you’re able to walk 20 miles, which I am easily, then that’s a bonus.”

Discussing how often she works on her tightening up her bottom, she revealed, “In terms of squats, or the equivalent of squats, I probably do over 20,000 a year... that's a lot!”

Carol Vorderman also discussed how hormonal changes have affected her body over the years, revealing that a contraceptive pill made her put on a stone in just a few days.

The presenter said, “As you go through the menopause things change.

“I had what’s called a mirena coil. I put on a stone in two weeks. It gives off hormones as well, so I had it removed and it took me a year to lose the weight.

“I went through this terrible hormonal depression, and I don’t use that word lightly, it really was awful.”
