The rattan trend

Rattan has come to stay, especially now we're desperate to replicate holiday destinations like Bali and Tulum at home.

And you won't see it only inside. When it comes to outdoor decoration - especially now that we're spending more time in our gardens - rattan furniture is also one of the biggest trends for 2020 as people adopt a Mediterranean style for their gardens.

Ben Adams, founder of online furniture store Rust Collections, told Living Etc, "We’re increasingly being asked to create outdoor furniture pieces with cool white frames and raw concrete tops; this blend of upscale Miami hotel cool meets rugged, organic Mediterranean coastlines is a contemporary look that speaks to a refined rustic appeal. Just add swaying palm plants and rattan accessories to complete the bohemian look."
