How does the Walmart Beauty Box subscription work?
As part of a Walmart Beauty Box subscription you'll receive one beauty box per quarter. The contents are tailored to you from a selection of products that changes each season, based on the quiz you complete when you sign up. The season refreshes in November for Winter, February for Spring, May for Summer and August for Fall.
Until recently the price was $5 + any additional tax, which covers shipping – but it looks like that's about to change. Redditors and bloggers have shared that they've received communication from Walmart that the beauty box subscription will be increasing to $6.98 + tax – which the store notes is the first time has increased subscription price since 2014.
"Starting with our next beauty box for Spring 2021, we will be making some exciting changes," a screen grab of the purported email shared to Reddit reads. "We also will be increasing the cost of your Beauty Box subscription to $6.98*.
"Don't fret, we're still providing great products for your beauty box subscription and at a very competitive cost. This increase to $6.98* is the only time we have increased the cost since the beauty box debuted in 2014.
"Get ready for a few updates starting with better, high value assortments and products, and the website."
While some customers may be unhappy about the price price increase, the box is still extremely good value.
