If you're a member of the royal family, it looks as though Kensington Palace really is the place to be.
It’s just been revealed that the newly-engaged Princess Eugenie, and her fiancé Jack Brooksbank, have recently moved into the cosy Ivy Cottage, within the grounds of the central London palace.
And they won’t be short for company if they find themselves at a loose end, as it’s reported that their cottage is right next door to fellow engaged couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s, two-bedroom house. Take a look inside Nottingham Cottage.
The two couples are also adjacent to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s Apartment 1A, the palatial three-storey house stood in the centre of the Kensington Palace grounds.
And it sounds like the move is brilliant news for Jack and Eugenie and Harry and Meghan, who reportedly get on like a house on fire – regularly enjoying couples dinner dates together.
A source also revealed to The Sun that Jack and Eugenie regularly spent time with Meghan whilst she was living in Toronto – and that the two, upcoming royal brides are becoming very close as a result.
The source said, “Harry and Eugenie are great mates. She was one of the first people who met Meghan. They have been on loads of dinner dates together.
“The two couples have been on loads of dinner dates together, and Jack and Eug hung out with Meghan while she was still living in Toronto.”
The big move to Kensington Palace for Princess Eugenie and Jack will be the first time the couple have lived together permanently. Previously, Eugenie shared an apartment with sister Princess Beatrice, at St. James’ Palace.
The source continued, “Eugenie is so pleased. It’s the first time she and Jack have lived together. They wanted to move in earlier but there were arguments over who paid for renovations.”
But Eugenie’s new home isn’t the only exciting news the royal is celebrating this week. Over on her Instagram, the 28-year-old shared that she is “very happy” to become the Royal Patron of the Tate Young Patrons.
She said, ‘Very happy to announce that I am now Royal Patron of the Tate Young Patrons. This institution does remarkable work for the arts and I’m very proud to begin working with them. Picasso at the Tate Modern on view until September is just incredible…’
Fans were quick to congratulate the Princess on her news, saying they were ‘very excited’ for her to begin her new role.
Eugenie’s sister Princess Beatrice has also been enjoying an exciting week, after returning from a star-studded holiday in the exotic location of Jordan. While the Princess was joined by model Karlie Kloss and singer Ellie Goulding, she also enjoying the break alongside one of Meghan Markle’s closest friends – and the woman rumoured to have introduced her to Beatrice’s cousin Harry.
Misha Nonoo joined this Princess for the holiday, posting about it on her social media, sharing a sweet group picture.
It seems as though Meghan, Beatrice and Eugenie are all getting along very well ahead of the former’s royal wedding later this month.
