There may still be over six months until her wedding to Jack Brooksbank, but it looks as though Princess Eugenie is already feeling full of love, if her most recent outfit is anything to go by.
The 28-year-old yesterday joined grandmother the Queen and cousin Prince William, for her second garden party of the year, at Buckingham Palace.
And Eugenie made sure to dress for the occasion, opting for a chic and utterly regal navy, three-quarter length dress, paired with some stylish navy court shoes.
But it was her impressive hat which caught the attention of most. Princess Eugenie chose a wide-brim navy option for the summer party, complete with a subtle mesh veil.
And written on top of the hat, were words paying perhaps a subtle tribute to her fiance, and the exciting wedding planning they’re currently undertaking. Eugenie’s hat read ‘Love’, in jewel-encrusted figures. How sweet!
Royals rarely wear items of clothing emblazoned with any type of wording, so it seems that Eugenie was keen to express how happy she is at the moment.
And in fact, Eugenie’s mother Sarah Ferguson also appears to be delighted by her daughter’s adorable display of affection. Prince Andrew’s former wife took to her social media shortly after the garden party, to reveal that she was “so proud” of her daughter.
Finger sandwiches and bite-sized cakes were served on the day.
Alongside a picture of the Princess at the garden party, Sarah wrote, ‘So proud of my daughter @princesseugenie’. So it seems Eugenie isn’t the only one looking forward to her upcoming nupitals!
Preparations are currently fully underway for Jack and Eugenie’s big day, which is set to take place at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle on 12th October. In March, Princess Eugenie revealed on her Instagram account that she had begun planning for her wedding, after announcing their engagement on 22nd January.
The couple got engaged in Nicaragua just after Christmas, after seven years together.
Very few details have so far been released about Jack and Princess Eugenie’s big day. But it’s thought that the royal could well choose her older sister, Princess Beatrice, to be her bridesmaid.
If she did, Eugenie would be following in the footsteps of the Duchess of Cambridge, who chose her sister as her chief bridesmaid – or maid of honour – for her 2011 wedding to Prince William.
