It's been a whirlwind few days for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as the pair have now arrived in Fiji to continue their royal tour, following a busy week of engagements in Australia.
The royal couple touched down just a few hours ago, but there was no time to relax, as they headed straight to a ceremony to welcome them to the area.
Later in the evening, Harry and Meghan also headed to a glamorous state banquet, where the Duchess dazzled in a gorgeous, full-length blue dress by designer SAFiYAA.
And at one moment in the evening, Meghan reminded everyone of hers and Harry’s special news announced just a week ago, as she was pictured lovingly cradling her small baby bump whilst chatting to guests.
It’s one of a few times that the Duchess has sweetly touched her growing stomach during the royal tour – suggesting that she couldn’t be more excited to welcome her little one in just a few short months.
It’s thought that Meghan Markle is currently around three/four months pregnant, meaning she may be expecting to give birth in March next year.
Earlier in the day, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex arrived in Fiji, Meghan also stunned the awaiting crowds in a sophisticated white Zimmerman dress. But it was her jewellery that really caught the attention of royal fans.
The Duchess had actually chosen to wear some special items for the beginning of the second leg of the tour, gifted to her by various members of the royal family.
Perhaps most touchingly, Meghan wore a subtle, glittering silver Cartier bracelet on her left arm – which has now been confirmed to be a present from her new father-in-law, Prince Charles. It’s reported that the bracelet costs a whopping £21,000.
And many eagle-eyed royal watchers noticed that the lovely piece of jewellery was actually probably given to Meghan as a wedding gift from Charles. The Duchess of Susssex was wearing a very similar silver bracelet on the eve of her May 19th wedding day – suggesting the future King had bought the gift to officially welcome Meghan in to the royal family.
On her arrival to Fiji, Meghan was also wearing a pair of pearl earrings from her new grandmother-in-law, the Queen. She first wore them on hers and the monarch’s visit to Chester back in June of this year.
So it’s a poignant gesture that she’s now worn them for only the second time on her visit to Fiji – a place Queen Elizabeth II looks on fondly, and has visited many times before in her role as Head of the Commonwealth.
