ITV could air unseen footage from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Oprah Winfrey interview as it's claimed there is “a lot of interest” in seeing the full conversation.

Earlier this month royal fans were left astounded after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex made a series of shocking revelations to Oprah Winfrey. The “tell-all” interview was first broadcast in the US on Sunday, March 7, whilst ITV later aired the special in the UK on Monday. The Sussexes’ interview came just weeks after they confirmed they would not be returning to the Royal Family as working royals.

Prior to this, they had also shared the happy news that they are expecting baby number two, who they later confirmed to Oprah is a little girl. Meghan spoke about her struggles with her mental health in the first few years after marrying Prince Harry. The Duchess of Sussex also claimed that an unnamed member of the Royal Family commented about Archie’s skin color before he was born.

Whilst Prince Harry alleged that his father Prince Charles stopped taking his calls after the couple revealed their intention to step back as senior royals last year. The claims made during the interview have shocked the world and there could be more to come.

“The original programme was the biggest show of the year so far in the UK and was bought by firms around the world. Showing more of it would be a guaranteed ratings winner.

“Oprah’s production company know they’re sitting on a goldmine so it’s possible a deal could be done”, they claimed.

ITV is thought to have paid around £1 million for the CBS special, which was reportedly watched by over 12 million viewers when it first aired in the UK.

How did the Royal Family respond to Prince Harry and Meghan’s interview?

The Royal Family have since responded to Prince Harry and Meghan’s interview. The official Buckingham Palace statement read: ‘The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan.

'The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. Whilst some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately.

‘Harry, Meghan and Archie will always be much-loved family members’ it concluded.

We will have to wait and see if unseen footage from the Sussexes’ Oprah interview will be broadcast in the future.
