Since announcing their engagement all the way back in November, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have won over the hearts of the nation with their adorable public displays of affection.
And a royal engagement yesterday proved to be no exception, with the newlyweds looking as in love as ever as they turned up at the Southbank Centre in London, to open their new Nelson Mandela exhibition.
But while all eyes were on their sweet touches on the arm, and long looks into one another’s eyes, there was one adorable moment between the couple that seemed to go unnoticed.
Soon after their arrival, the Duke and Duchess were treated to a performance from a South African choir.
Kensington Palace posted a short video of the special performance, writing, “Their Royal Highnesses hear a performance from the Ubunye Choir, which is made up of people from the South African diaspora.”
And at the start of the short, 14-second clip, eagle-eyed royal fans noticed how moved Meghan was by the performance.
She first gets Harry’s attention, before pointing to her arm, and then rubbing it with her hand – suggesting she’d got goosebumps from the emotional and touching choir performance.
The Duchess grinned at her husband, while Prince Harry smiled back and nodded in agreement, before the two turned their attentions back to the singing.
Followers of the royals on social media commented on the sweet, fleeting moment between the couple, saying how ‘cute’ it was.
One wrote, “Meghan told Harry that she got goosebumps aha. Such a cute couple 💞”. While another commented, “Ahhhhh she got goosebumps”.
Meghan and Harry then spent the rest of the morning speaking to close friends and family of Nelson Mandela’s, viewing exhibits related to the campaigner, and listening to speeches.
For the important engagement, Meghan opted for a House of Nonie trench coat dress – chosen by her close friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney – in what has now become her signature royal colour, blush pink.
The Duchess has been seen in the neutral tone numerous times since the royal wedding, with many royal watchers speculating that she is attempting to seamlessly blend into her new family by wearing the simple colour.
Meghan also carried a matching Mulberry clutch, and wore a pair of chic, nude Dior pumps.
