It is thought Prince Harry and Meghan will be attending a very poignant carol service this evening (Tuesday 4th December)...
The service will be held in Chelsea and is in support of the Henry Van Straubenzee Memorial Fund.
Set up in 2002, the fund was created in memory of both Prince Harry and Prince William’s close school friend who was killed in a car crash at the age of 18. Both royals attended his funeral back in 2002.
Since 2009, The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex have been joint Patrons of The Henry van Straubenzee Memorial Fund, in memory of their friend.
The fund aims to support and improve the quality of education in impoverished rural Ugandan schools.
As well as being part of the congregation, there is speculation that Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, has been asked to give a reading in church.
At the emotional eveining, Prince Harry will also be reunited with old school friends as they come together to show their support.
Prince William and Prince Harry remain close to Henry’s family, with Thomas, Henry’s oldest brother, being Princess Charlotte’s godfather. Prince William and Thomas have been friends since they were very young, meeting at prep school.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the wedding of Charlie Van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks in August. Charlie is Henry’s older brother and is very close to Prince Harry. He was even rumoured to have given a humorous speech at Prince Harry and Meghan’s evening wedding reception at Frogmore House.
