Riverdale’s Vanessa Morgan reportedly welcomes first child with husband Michael Kopech

Riverdale’s Vanessa Morgan has reportedly become a mom after welcoming her first child with estranged husband Michael Kopech. 

According to E! News, the star, who is perhaps best known for her role as Toni Topaz in the teen drama series, has given birth to a baby boy. 

A source supposedly told E! News exclusively that: "Vanessa had the baby, and Michael is with her as well. They're both thrilled." 

The new parents have yet to speak out about their new arrival and have not confirmed his name or exact day of birth. The actor and professional baseball player first announced their exciting baby news on social media last year. 

Taking to Instagram, Vanessa shared an emotional post with her huge number of followers, complete with a boomerang video of her revealing that their first baby would be a son. 

This was followed by more adorable insights into their gender reveal party, as well as a picture of her positive pregnancy test and an ultrasound video.

The delighted mom-to-be wrote at the time: ‘Exciting news... I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January 💙. This little guy has already brought me so much happiness and a feeling of such a greater purpose. I cannot wait to meet you!!’

She went on to mention that: ‘On a personal note, I have had the blessing of growing up in the public eye having started my acting career at age 6. While this has been incredible for me, I am very much looking forward to giving this little guy some room to grow up outside of the public eye, until he tells me otherwise 🙂. Lil one you were made with so much love & already exude a light so strong it warms my belly. Thank you God for this blessing ☺️  ‘

Vanessa shared that she was ‘just so happy’ and that she couldn’t ‘wait to dedicate everyday to being the best mommy I can be’. 

Is Vanessa Morgan married?

Riverdale star Vanessa married professional baseball player Michael Kopech in January 2020 after dating for over a year. Last year, The Chicago Tribune reported that Michael filed for divorce just five months later in June. However, Vanessa and Michael have remained private about their relationship and have not publically confirmed the news of their split.
