The TV presenter admits he's missing his son Jack as her shares treasured family snap

Eamonn Holmes has surprised fans with rare picture of look-a-like son Jack as he reveals he's missing him now he's gone to university.

The TV presenter, who hosts This Morning with his wife Ruth Langsford, dropped their teenage son off at university last month - leaving them with an empty nest at home.

Aside from dog Maggie, the pair are feeling Jack's absence now more than ever - especially since the new three tier restrictions were introduced, which left many wondering are cinemas open in tier 3?

Eamonn, 60, uploaded a snap to his Instagram and captioned it, "Missing my baby boy ....... As a matter of fact missing all my children, my Mum , my Brothers and everyone who I am close to. I'm sure u r the same."

Eamonn is dad of four - he has daughter Rebecca, 29, sons Declan, 31, and Niall, 29 from a previous marriage and he admitted he loves seeing all his children together. He said, "I love getting my kids together, all four of them and their partners."

But with Jack no longer living in the Holmes household, it's left him feeling odd. Eamonn said, "It’s a strange night in our house tonight. Jack has left for uni and Maggie isn’t the only one feeling his absence.”

But Eamonn is missing his son being around, even though he revealed that during lockdown, he hardly saw his son. He told fans during an Instagram live, "I never see him until we have a family conference on zoom and then he pops up and then I remember he lives in the house with us.”

Meanwhile Ruth, who previously shared a genius health hack on Instagram, admitted she was worried about son Jack under the new lockdown rules which include the 10pm curfew and rule of six. She told Loose Women panelists, "We took him and he seems to be fine, seems to have settled in alright, but it's a worry now with lockdown."
