The legendary beauty brand MAC Cosmetics is coming to Boots on Wednesday 29th July. Here's why 48,000 people are already on the wait list.

Aptly, it will be National Lipstick Day on Wednesday 29 July when iconic beauty brand MAC Cosmetics launches at high-street retailer Boots.

From Wednesday, a curated collection of the brand's legendary products will be rolled out online and in over 99 stores.

And it's set to be the retailer's most sought-after launch yet. A staggering 48,000 people have already signed up to the waiting list, making it Boots' highest-ever recorded number on a premium beauty brand's list, according to The Standard.

MAC will join other premium beauty brands including Fenty Beauty, Laura Mercier and YSL in the store's aisles; further cementing the retailer as a one-stop beauty shop for any budget.

MAC toldThe Standard that they hoped the partnership would invite new customers to the brand by making products more accessible to a wider market.

“This is an exciting time for MAC, as a brand we have always set the industry standard and by joining forces with Boots we are making prestige cosmetics and artistry more accessible to high street shoppers,” Fiona Sainty, vice president of MAC Cosmetics UK and Ireland, told the publication.

The exciting partnership comes amid the news of 48 Boots stores facing closure– with more than 4,000 job losses – following the Coronavirus pandemic.
