In celebration of next week’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, the Aqua Shard has been transformed into an English country garden. This morning, the restaurant revealed a new-look atrium, designed by florists McQueens. Against the dramatic landscape of the London skyline, the installation boasts a striking twenty-foot column of greenery and flowers alongside a six-foot grass watering can.
In keeping with the English country garden theme, the kitchen team have created a floral infused menu which will run for the duration of the flower show, finishing on Sunday 24th May 2015.
Echoing the scents and flowers within the installation, the menu features Jasmine tea-steamed artichoke with teal & citrus jelly and Jerusalem artichoke mousse with Viola flowers, followed by roasted wild sea bass with white bean stew, aloe vera cubes, dandelion seasoned with acacia rose vinaigrette. And for dessert? An orange blossom and pink pepper panna cotta will be served with black olive crumble and a white chocolate sorbet. Divine.
