Prince Andrew could be given royal lifeline by the Queen
Prince Andrew could be given a second chance by the Queen, according to a royal source
Prince Andrew could be given a lifeline if he wins a legal case against him while the Queen is on the throne, according to a source.
- Last week, Prince Andrew was stripped of his military honors and his HRH title amid his ongoing sex abuse case.
- The Duke of York's bid to have Virginia Giuffre’s civil case against him scrapped was denied, meaning he is set to face trial.
- This comes after royal news that Prince Charles 'hopping mad' over Prince Andrew's hope for 'future role' in Royal Family
Last week, Buckingham Palace released a statement to confirm that the Queen has agreed to have the Duke of York's Royal honors returned to her, adding that he will continue to not undertake public duties and no longer has the right to go by 'His Royal Highness'.
It came after it was revealed that Prince Andrew's plea to have Virginia Giuffre’s civil case against him scrapped was dismissed by a US judge.
Virginia Giuffre claims that she was forced to have sex with Prince Andrew, by convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, when she was 17-years-old.
However, a source close to the Royal Family has suggested that Prince Andrew could receive a lifeline from the Queen if he wins his legal case.
A close associate of Andrew spoke to The Times and said the Duke of York is more likely to have his royal patronages restored if he wins a legal case against him while the Queen is still alive.
However, the source stated that it would be a different matter if the Duke of York's brother, the Prince of Wales, ascended to the throne.

Prince Charles was thought to be dismayed when he heard that Prince Andrew believed he had a 'future role' in the British monarchy, according to a royal insider.
“Everyone in the Royal Family has been of the view he couldn’t come back, except Prince Andrew, who did a litmus test with us last year when a source close to him said ‘he thinks he has a future role’," Sunday Times Royal Editor Roya Nikkhah said on the Royal Beat last week.
"I went to the Prince of Wales with that and suffice to say the Prince of Wales was hopping mad, because Andrew said he had family support to come back, and he did not have family support to come back to public life.”
