How Kate Middleton's go-to hair accessory inspired Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's latest looks
Kate Middleton's go-to hair accessory has inspired some recent looks from members of the Royal Family who love this style
Kate Middleton's go-to hair accessory was the star of the show at a recent royal engagement as three members of the Royal Family emulated the Duchess of Cambridge's signature look.
- Kate Middleton is known for her fantastic style and has recently inspired some of the looks worn by other members of the royal family.
- The Duchess is fond of large puffy Alice bands which are also known as 'hatbands' and have been seen on various royals.

Kate Middleton has been seen wearing large puffy hatbands since 2018 and has often sported this type of headwear for semi-formal occasions. The accessory is perfect for royal events that don't require a hat, but some form of headwear helps to pull the outfit together.
In 2018, Catherine wore this hair accessory to the Marking The Centenary Of WW1 at Westminster Abbey. The Duchess was seen again wearing the same style of puffy black velvet headband again in 2020 when in Ireland on a royal tour.
This hatband became a go-to accessory for the Duchess who was bringing back this style that was popular in the 80s. Now the Duchess has inspired some of the other members of the royal family who were spotted wearing this accessory recently.
At Prince Philip's memorial on Tuesday, March 29, three of the Queen's grandchildren opted to wear this look. Princess Eugenie went for a classic black hatband which was embellished with small black beads to add an extra layer of glamour to her look.
Princess Beatrice also opted to wear a hatband but in a maroon shade rather than the Duchess' go to plain look.
Princess Beatrice also decided to add a little more flair to her hair accessory as it was decorated with a thin netted veil and a collection of flowers at the side of the band.

Zara Tindall also opted to wear a hatband but also decided to go for a more colorful style. Zara wore a plaited style dark blue puffed headband that matched her all-blue ensemble and the plaited detail on her coat's collar.
Reportedly, the Royal Family's lowkey outfits at Prince Philip's memorial service reflected his 'modest style,' which could explain why many of the royals opted for the semi-formal headband which added a royal twist to their more understated outfits.
