The White House has welcomed its first pets in four years, and we’re panting with excitement.
The Biden family’s cherished dogs, Major and Champ, arrived at their new Washington home on Sunday after a two-hour car ride from Wilmington, Delaware.
The German Shepherds’ addition to the prestigious residence at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue marks the end of Donald Trump’s animal-free reign — and the beginning of a lot more garden maintenance.

Major, who was adopted by the Biden family in 2018, wasted no time exploring his new home. The White House’s first rescue dog marked his territory with some excited laps of the spacious South Lawn, which is also the site of a tennis court and swimming pool.
Champ, who joined the clan following President Biden's election win in 2008, was a bit more subdued. No stranger to the perks of presidential life, the older hound is happy to enjoy the simpler pleasures as he settles into his new home. Champ has been celebrating his family's latest victory by keeping toasty in his new bed at the fireplace. Sounds paw-sitively blissful.
If these two sweet dogs aren't enough cuteness material to satisfy you, it looks like President Biden's furry family may be getting another member soon.
