Ruth Langsford pays tribute to her son Jack on his 18th birthday as she shows rare glimpse inside her family home

The This Morning host has shared a video from inside her house to celebrate her son Jack's 18th birthday.

Ruth Langsford decorated their dining table with balloons, banners and paper plates and cups.

Filming her and husband Eamonn Holmes' decorated dining room, Ruth showed off their vast dining table and grey velvet curtains.

Posting the video on Instagram, Ruth wrote, 'The scene is set! Traditional birthday breakfast table for Jack’s 18th!!! Our baby’s all grown up!!'

Eamonn also paid tribute to Jack on his birthday, sharing a picture of them together on his Instagram account.

He wrote, 'My Baby Son becomes 18 today, all grown up and at least 6 inches taller than his old Dad.

'Couldn't be more proud of the young man he has become. Many Happy Returns Jack.'

The birthday celebrations come just a week after Ruth broke down live on This Morning during a segment about depression and suicide.

Ruth was presenting the show alongside Eamonn, and had Coronation Street actress Nicola Thorp on the sofa as a guest to discuss mental health issues and suicide following the tragic death of Caroline Flack.

'A lot of people said she chose to end her life, suicide is not a choice. Suicide is something that happens when you do not have a choice left', Nicola said.

Ruth added, 'You believe you don’t have a choice, that’s the sad thing.

'People left behind say, “So many people loved you, you did have a choice, you could have called me, you could have called mum…”

Ruth then became emotional, no doubt thinking about her late sister Julia, who took her own life last year.

Eamonn then took over and reminded viewers that they would be focusing on depression and anxiety in the phone in.
