Kelly Clarkson isn't afraid to get real and has been open about having 'no filter' in the past. While interviewing singer Clint Back during an episode of her talk show, Kelly gets personal and shares a story that was a little TMI.
Before she got candid, she reminded Clint and viewers that she really has no filter.
"I have no filter in the best of ways. Like, I’m open to talk about everything,” she said. “I think that’s what people [are] not ready for when they talk to me. They’re like, ‘Uhhh, TMI' and I'm like, 'Oh, I'm sorry!'”
Clint then went on to talk about his new show Talking in Circles, where he shared a story where a recent guest talked to him about a time they peed on stage.
"How many of us haven't peed on stage?" Clint jokingly asked Kelly, but she was ready with a dramatic story of her own.
“Well, I’ll tell you right now, there was one time - it wasn’t pee, my friend,” Kelly laughed. “I got some kind of wrecked up from some kind of food.”
It was at this point she questioned whether she should continue telling the story but opted to give the full details anyways.
"I shouldn’t tell this story,” she went on. “But like I said, my man, I don’t have a filter.”
We've all have those moments where we've needed to go to the bathroom at the wrong time, but for Kelly, in the middle of performing was less than ideal. She was able to hold it in up until she rushed offstage for a quick change. That's when things took a turn for the worse.
"I had to run backstage to my quick change. I grabbed this poor trash can, and, boy, I destroyed it,” she revealed. “It was bad, Clint. And we might have to edit this out, but I’m just saying, it happens! What are you supposed to do?”
The story didn't even phase Clint, who had the best response to it.
"I'm just trying to visualize," Clint joked. "Hang on."
