It was a big night for stars of the Crown, as they swept the Golden Globes board - winning four awards for the hit show with Gillian Anderson scooping Best Supporting Actress for her role as Margaret Thatcher in the Netflix drama.

The star took to Instagram last night to show us her amazing floor-length Dior gown for the virtual ceremony, and in a second picture revealed her hot date for the night – her cute dog.

Standing on the stairs she posed in a gold Dior printed dress, accessorizing with a black clutch. While in the second photo she included her adorable puppy Stella – who wore a matching gold bow around her neck.

Gillian thanked Dior in her caption: “Thank you to @dior for my fantastic @goldenglobes look. So thrilled for everyone @thecrownnetflix and so honoured to have been a part” before adding: “(swipe ➡️ to see my hot date.)”

Gillian first introduced us to her cute pup in December with a picture of Stella. The Crown actress called the Labradoodle puppy her ‘new gf’ on Instagram.

The actress split from her boyfriend, Peter Morgan, last year, after four years together. Peter, the writer behind the Crown is said to have, however, already moved on with Jemima Khan. The new couple, who were already friends, are said to be "already living together".

According to the Mail on Sunday, an insider close to Gillian said, "There was a bit of a process before Gillian and Peter split but nevertheless, this has all happened very quickly and has been quite a surprise.”

Gillian’s co-stars also won Golden Globes last night – with Emma Corrin, who played Princess Diana, picking up an award for best actress and Josh O’Conner who played Prince Charles winning a Golden globe for Best actor.
