And in a highly touching moment during her speech, Carey dedicated her award to fellow actor Helen McCrory who tragically passed away last week.

When did Helen McCrory pass away?

Carey’s moving dedication to Helen McCrory comes a week after it was announced that the talented actor had passed away after a “heroic battle” with cancer.

Helen was perhaps best known for her roles as Polly Gray in BBC’s Peaky Blinders and Narcissa Malfoy in the Harry Potter film series.

The sad news of her death was announced by her husband Damian Lewis in a heartfelt Twitter statement.

‘I’m heartbroken to announce that after an heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family', he wrote.

‘God we love her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.’
