Charlotte Tilbury has launched a Jennifer Aniston-inspired lipstick for a 'beach-but-chic' make-up look

Charlotte Tilbury

British makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury has launched a range of lipsticks named after the women who inspire her.

Charlotte’s Hot Lips 2 lipstick collection is inspired by 11 women and men, and there are some great names on this list. Sales of the collection will benefitWomen for Women International, a charity that helps female survivors of war rebuild their lives.

From Harry Potter author JK Rowling to Jennifer Anniston, we take a look at the different shades and where the inspiration came from. All lipsticks £28.

JK Magic

Charlotte has worked with JK Rowling for years, and decided to base this shade on the two lipsticks she’s used on the author the most; ‘Pillow Talk’ and ‘Bitch Perfect’. Describing the shade, she said it “complements her flawless complexion and beautiful, piercing blue eyes”.

The packaging is absolutely gorgeous too, featuring a black and gold design with a crescent moon and shooting star.

Amazing Amal

Named after the barrister Amal Clooney, Charlotte went for a soft, berry pink matte shade. Speaking about the design, she said she wanted “a soft elegant, berry-pink with the neutral-ness of warm berry, that can be used as a stain, or to add an enlivening pop of colour to any outfit.”

The packaging for this one is very elegant, featuring gold and black stripes.

Glowing Jen

This one is dedicated to Friends actress Jennifer Aniston. Describing the shade, Charlotte said “I wanted to create a tawny beachy rose that would complement [Aniston’s] effortlessly beach-but-chic vibe. This is a universal colour that looks good on everyone. It enlivens the complexion to give you instant looking health.”

This sassy design is an iconic leopard print, which we absolutely love.

In Love with Olivia

This classic pink shade is named after businesswoman and star of The City, Olivia Palermo. Charlotte is full of compliments for this one, saying “Everyone is in love with this super-flattering, sumptuous pink.

"It is so effortlessly polished and stylish, and it is the perfect accessory to every outfit because it looks amazing on everyone.”

The design is similar to Amal’s, with gold and black stripes.

Dancefloor Princess

Charlotte’s Kylie Minogue inspired lipstick is described as a ‘cool 60’s pop pink. She described the lipstick as being “a hit with every skin tone”, adding that “Kylie wanted to have a luminous soft pearl running through the shade to create the illusion of fuller, wider-looking lips.”

The design is similar to Jennifer’s, only it’s a red variant of the classic print.

Viva La Vergara

Inspired by actress and model Sofia Vergara, Charlotte describes this one as “a flattering soft-wine shade” and “the perfect wearable nuanced colour”. She also worked closely with the model, saying “I worked closely with Sofia Vergara to come up with this colour. It has a painterly texture that blends with the natural pigment in your lips and sets beautifully.”

This lipstick also has the classic black and gold design.

Red Hot Susan

Hollywood icon Susan Sarandon is the inspiration behind this matte tawny-orange red, with Charlotte describing it as “a universally-flattering, dynamic daytime red”. She also adds that it’s “so easy to build”, ideal for those who like it bold.

This one also boasts the sassy leopard print design.

Carina’s Star

This soft peach coral was inspired by singer and actress Carina Lau, known for her work in the 1980s where she played many girl-next-door type rolls on screen. Charlotte describes this shade as “the nuanced colour enlivens the lips and has a subtle brightening effect, while the modern matte texture makes the lips look instantly fuller and wider".

The design is the same as JK's shooting star and crescent moon.

Angel Alessandra

Brazilian model and actress Alessandra Ambrosio is the muse for this shade. This sunset, peachy nude was developed to help those with deeper complexions find the right one for them.

Speaking about the shade, Charlotte said “A lot of people with deeper, tanned complexions struggle to find the perfect nude, as it can wash them out. This is the perfect nude lip they’ve been looking for.”

This comes in feisty packaging depicting a jaguar with gold and red stripes.

Patsy Red

Perhaps the most personal of all the lipsticks is this one, dedicated to Charlotte’s mum, Patsy Tilbury. It’s a matte, statement red which is inspired by her ‘perfectly painted’ red nails and the way she’d always wear red lipstick.

Speaking about the shade, Charlotte said “She taught me about the confidence boosting powers that wearing make-up brings and how she felt instantly empowered the moment she put on her favourite red lipstick. And this is an iconic, statement red lip! It’s instant glamour in a tube!! It instantly brightens and pulls an outfit together.”

This one also has the red leopard print design.

Enigmatic Edward

The only man on this list is the Editor-in-Chief of Vogue, Edward Enninful. This clear shade is a hydrating lipstick, and the only colourless one in the collection. Speaking about the creation, Charlotte said “I knew I had to create the best, most moisturising formula. This timeless, comforting lip conditioner is as clear as Edward Enninful’s vision.”

This packaging also features the gold and red stripes, along with a jaguar.
