Ginger Beef Stir-Fry Recipe

Taken from 5 Ingredients, 10 Minutes by Jules Clancy (Penguin, £14.99)


  • 300g steak, trimmed and finely sliced
  • 2-3tbsps ginger, chopped into matchsticks
  • 4-5 spring onions, sliced
  • 1 bunch pak choy, sliced
  • Sesame oil, to serve


  • Heat a wok on a fierce heat

  • Add a little oil and stir-fry the beef and ginger until the beef is no longer pink. Remove from the heat and place in a clean bowl

  • Add the spring onion and pak choy, stir-frying until the pak choi is starting to wilt – a few minutes

  • Return the ginger and beef to the pan. Stir-fry for another few seconds or until the beef is hot

  • Remove from the heat. Season with salt and pepper and drizzle with sesame oil.
