Queen’s grandchildren spotted together after heartbreaking Prince Philip memorial
The Queen’s grandchildren came together again after they paid tribute to the Duke of Edinburgh’s extraordinary legacy.

The Queen’s grandchildren were spotted together in the difficult hours after Prince Philip’s heartbreaking memorial—though not everyone joined them.
- Her Majesty attended Prince Philip’s memorial surrounded by her children, grandchildren and some of her great-grandchildren.
- After the service, several of the Queen’s grandchildren had lunch together, though some significant faces were missing.
- This royal news comes as we revealed how Kate Middleton's go-to hair accessory inspired Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice's latest looks.
After weeks of speculation over who would be attending Prince Philip’s memorial, fans watching at home were moved to see not only the Queen, but most of the extended Royal Family paying their respects. The thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey incorporated many aspects Prince Philip had planned for his funeral before Covid-19 restrictions at the time meant they weren’t possible.
And anyone wondering why everyone was wearing green at the memorial soon had their question answered as this choice honored the late Duke of Edinburgh. During the service there were more than a few tears as people reflected on his remarkable life and legacy.
This included Princess Beatrice and she was one of the Queen's grandchildren who were spotted having a special lunch following the emotional service.
According to the Daily Mail, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank went for lunch at Scott’s in Mayfair. And they weren’t alone! The sisters came together with their cousin Zara Tindall and her husband Mike for the long lunch.
The Tindalls brought their eldest daughter Mia to remember her great-grandfather at the service, but according to the publication, the eight-year-old wasn’t at the cousins’ lunch.
Instead, it’s thought she could’ve returned to the family’s Gloucestershire home, Gatcombe Park, potentially with her uncle Peter Phillips and cousins Savannah and Isla Phillips. The Phillips family attended the service, but reportedly weren’t at the Scott’s lunch.

The same is said for Prince William and Kate Middleton, whose supportive words to calm Princess Charlotte at the memorial did not go unnoticed.
Whilst Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn are also understood to have not been at the family lunch. Nor was Prince Harry, who didn’t return to the UK for the memorial, much to the sadness of many fans and commentators alike.
Though it's not known why not all of the cousins attended the lunch, the others could perhaps just have had other family or work commitments after Prince Philip's memorial.
But whilst not all of the Queen’s grandchildren were spotted out together after the memorial, for Princess Beatrice, Eugenie and Zara the lunch was likely an opportunity to enjoy family time away from the cameras as she reminisced about their beloved grandfather.
Just last year most of them did come together alongside the Queen’s children in the BBC Prince Philip documentary to share their memories.
"He's always been a huge presence behind everything we have done really," Prince William declared powerfully to viewers.
