  • Princess Eugenie has revealed she's officially started preparing for her wedding to Jack Brooksbank, who she will marry this October.

Eugenie, 29, revealed the news in a new Instagram post, in which she shared a sweet photograph of herself and her sister, Princess Beatrice, dressed up as bridesmaids in the 1990s.

The photo dates back to 1993 and shows the sisters at the wedding of their former nanny, Alison Wardley.

Eugenie announced her engagement to 31-year-old Jack in January, just a couple of months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their wedding plans. The couple had been dating for seven years before he proposed.

Talking to The One Show after her engagement, she revealed how Jack proposed at sunset next to a lake in Nicaragua.

She said: “The lake was so beautiful. The light was just a special light I had never seen. I actually said this is an incredible moment, and then he popped the question, which was really surprising even though we have been together seven years.

“I was over the moon. [It was a] complete surprise. But it was the perfect moment, we couldn’t be happier.”

Eugenie and Jack shared official engagement pictures in January, including a picture of her ring – an oval padparadscha sapphire ring surrounded by diamonds, on a gold band. The ring is a similar shape and design to the Duchess of York’s engagement ring.

The couple will marry in the autumn at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle – the same place where Harry and Meghan will marry.
