Prince Harry faces 'ultimate dilemma' as Queen's Platinum Jubilee draws closer and bombshell memoir is imminent
Prince Harry faces 'ultimate dilemma' as he decides whether to attend the Queen's Platinum Jubilee as his memoir release is looming
Prince Harry faces 'ultimate dilemma' as he must decide whether or not to face his family at the Queen's upcoming Jubilee celebration or to stay in California and avoid confrontation, says a royal expert.
- It was announced in July 2021 that Prince Harry would release an 'accurate and wholly truthful' royal memoir.
- Some royal experts think that this memoir has created a rift in the royal family and will dictate whether the Prince returns to the UK.
- In other royal news, never-seen-before photo of Princess Diana to be unveiled ahead of special honor at Kate and William's home.
The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is set to take place this June and will be celebrated across the UK with a four-day bank holiday.
The Queen officially invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to her Platinum Jubilee and it has been reported that although Prince Harry ‘wants to be there’ for the Queen, some royal experts predict that the Prince may snub the celebrations because of the ramifications of his upcoming memoir.
Royal biographer, Tom Bower, told Closer that the Duke of Sussex will face the 'ultimate dilemma' as he decides whether or not to miss major royal milestones.
"The next few months will be the ultimate test for Harry, the ultimate dilemma. He insists he adores his grandmother, so will he come back to support her at Prince Philip’s memorial service, and will he come back to support her and celebrate her reign in the Platinum Jubilee?" asked the biographer. "These are milestone moments and, sadly, time is running out."
The royal expert went on to claim that his lack of attendance will demonstrate where his loyalty lies but warned that if the Duke makes the wrong decision he may 'regret it forever.'
"If he doesn’t come back, it’s a clear statement of where lies his loyalty and his own interest. He’s had many opportunities to return home and spend time with his family – and hasn’t – but this really will show where his and Meghan’s mindsets are," said Tom. "And if they don’t come back soon, and Lilibet doesn’t meet the Queen and Harry doesn’t celebrate her life and reign with her, it could be something he comes to regret forever."

The royal expert then weighed in and suggested that he doesn't believe that the Prince will return, and the reports that Prince Harry fears he's 'not safe' in the UK because of 'inherited risk,' are merely excuses from the Prince so he can stay home at his $14 million Santa Barbara mansion.
"I personally think he won’t come back this year. I think the notion that he’s worried about his own security and needs the Met Police is an excuse, and that, sadly, we won’t see him or Meghan back in the UK anytime soon," said Tom.
The expert then added, "And I think Harry won’t come back because he knows he cannot face his family, and be pleasant with them, knowing what he’s written about them in that book."
There are rumors that this upcoming memoir from the Prince will be an explosive portrayal of the royal family that could cause even more rifts than the comments made in the Oprah interview that shocked the world.
"That book will have a lot of casualties and cause a lot of hurt. It will really deliver, as Harry knows it has to, to justify the money he’s been paid to do it. How can Harry come back and pretend it’s all fine? The worst of what he will say is yet to come," concluded the royal expert.
