As members of the Royal Family, you might expect that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis enjoy a fancy breakfast every morning - but Kate Middleton has revealed the surprisingly down-to-earth start to her children's days.

When Kate visited Stockwell Gardens Nursery and Pre-school, she told staff what her children - who started a new school in Windsor last month - like to eat for breakfast, and it's not what you might think.

School manager Michelle Samuels later revealed that Kate had told her how the royal siblings enjoy a simple breakfast of cereal and apples.

She told today.com, "she mentioned to three of the children that her own children enjoy apples and cereal in the morning, which sparked a conversation with the children about their own preference of fruits."

Kate has also previously revealed Prince Louis' favourite vegetable is beetroot, and Princess Charlotte's favourite snack is olives during a conversation with Dame Mary Berry about her children's favourite foods and snacks.

Previously Kate has talked about how her children enjoy helping to prepare food and they often cook together as a family. While visiting Lavender Primary School in Enfield, she told staff and students about their love for making cheesy pasta.

Matthew Kleiner-Mann, chief executive of the Ivy Learning Trust, said of the royal children after a visit to the school in 2019, "One stirs the flour, one puts the milk and butter in. And they make salads and stuff. She [Kate] was telling us how much her children love cooking and how they cook for her."

He added, "Food is important to her and she understands the links between mental health and physical exercise."

Another family favorite is making pizza, as Kate explained, “I've done that with George and Charlotte - making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy."
