Prince George started school this year and his parents decided early on that they wanted to do the school run as much as possible - which for Catherine, included just hours after she gave birth!
Prince George turned five last week and he has finished his first year at school with a family holiday to the Caribbean– what a month July has been for the little royal!
Although Prince George is third in line to the throne, he still doesn’t know and his parents have tried their best to give him as normal an upbringing as possible.
It’s for this reason that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ensured that his routine wasn’t too disturbed by all the hysteria surrounding his little brother Prince Louis’ arrival in April.
In fact, Catherine was spotted taking Prince George to school just hours after she gave birth to Prince Louis!
The Daily Mail’s royal correspondent Rebecca English states, “The couple have made a point of doing the school run themselves as much as possible. Indeed, Kate was seen dropping off her son the morning after she gave birth to her third child, Prince Louis.’
Mum-of-three Catherine faced praise and criticism as she stepped out onto the porch of the Lindo Wing for the world’s cameras looking immaculate, after the arrival of her youngest child.
Catherine couldn’t join William in taking Prince George to school for his first day as she was suffering from acute morning sickness, Hyperemesis Graidarum.
The birth of Prince Louis was a momentous occasion for the whole family and Catherine clearly wanted to make sure that her first born son didn’t feel out of place with the new arrival, something a lot of parents can relate to.
According to Rebecca English, William also tries to play his part in Prince George’s schooling and once joined a coffee morning unannounced dressed in chinos, a jumper and glasses.
One parent from the school told her, “No one really gives Kate a second glance when she does the school drop-off. We have a Victoria’s Secret model doing the school run, too, and the dads are far more interested in her!”
