Rose Ayling-Ellis thanks Giovanni and says he's the 'most wonderful human being ever' in gushing post

Rose Ayling-Ellis has taken to social media to talk about her love for her dance partner Giovanni Pernice as the two cinched the Glitterball on Strictly Come Dancing on Saturday night.

This weekend, the nation watched with delight as Giovanni and Rose won Strictly Come Dancing. This was the first time professional dancer Giovanni has won the Glitterball, and the first time a deaf contestant has participated, let alone won the competition.  

The Strictly Come Dancing 2021 winner has been labeled by fans as an ‘inspiration’ for making people ‘feel less alone’, but the ever-humble dancing champion Rose has taken to social media to instead pass the praise on to her partner Giovanni.

In a social media post, Rose gushed about her dance partner and reveal that it was his hard work that helped her win the competition. 

"I'm dedicating this post to the most wonderful human ever, Giovanni. The person who was there every day with me for four months, who knows truly what this journey has been for me, the reason why I have become confident within myself," said Rose in the caption. 

"He came into my world and brought the best out of me. I cannot thank him enough for all the work and effort to make me become the dancer that I am today. Winning the Glitterball is the best gift I could ever give to Giovanni because he really deserves it. I am beyond proud of us. I never thought I would leave Strictly with a best friend for life, thank you Gio 💕"

The Strictly champions' chemistry on the dancefloor had many fans convinced that the Strictly curse could be at play, as fans adored their close relationship and hoped that this pairing was a match outside of the competition too.

Although Rose and Giovanni said their connection is about more than just dancing, Giovanni dispelled dating rumors and assured fans that while they are close, they are not in a relationship and are just 'best friends'.

It has been reported that Rose Ayling-Ellis is now tipped for a new huge job after her impressive win on Strictly. The star, who was best known for her role in EastEnders, is expected to appear in another BBC show as there are rumors execs want her to star in a new drama series. The actress has already won our hearts, so a starring role in a new show sounds like a fantastic fit—fingers crossed it isn't too long until she is back on our screens again!
